With support from BFI Film Academy using funds from the National Lottery, the Young Film Programmers (South East) Network aims to increase access to and appreciation of cultural cinema among 16-25-year olds across the South East of England, and encourage a greater awareness of strategic progression routes for young people within the industry.
In January 2022 we will launch our first YFP Creative Development Programme for aspiring young writers and writer/directors. Participants will learn the fundamentals of story structure and writing for the screen from industry professionals, as well as guidance on specific areas such as writing effective synopses and treatments.
Who can apply?
Participation in the YFP Creative Development Programme is free and open to all Young Film Programmers across the YFP (South East) Network. Sessions will be held online and in-person from January – March 2022, with participants meeting regularly to collaboratively develop their work and individual creative portfolios.
