Emerging writers based in the South East are invited to apply to our upcoming Project Lab (Writers) in Cambridge.
Taking place on Monday 29th October 2018 at Cambridge Fire Station, this Project Lab will offer support to talented writers based in the South East hoping to develop a feature film treatment or a short film script.
The lab will focus on story and development and will be led by Script Editor Kate Leys (see Kate’s biog here) with support from Film Hub South East’s BFI NETWORK Talent Executive Tom Wightman. Each participant of the lab will be invited to offer feedback to the rest of the group.
These labs are set up to support writers and teams who may be interested in applying to the BFI Network funds for early treatment development and short film funding.
Lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be supplied.
With many thanks to Cambridge Film Festival for supporting this event.
Who can apply
Participation in the BFI Network Writers Labs is free and open to writers from all creative disciplines with an idea for a short film (under 15 minutes in length) or a feature film idea. As space is limited, there is a selection process before your attendance is confirmed.
