The ICO is proud to be partnering with Film Hub South East to offer a Hub-based Screening Days on Thursday 27 & Friday 28 November 2014.
Choose from a programme of pre-release films showing at the Duke’s at Komedia in Brighton.
Screening Days are preview film screening events for staff and volunteers of cinemas, mixed arts venues, film festivals, and film societies. This event will showcase key upcoming art-house and independent titles scheduled for theatrical release between December 2014 and February 2015.

Film Hub South East is part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network (FAN). Its role is to bring film, education, community, exhibition, archive and events experts together to offer more choice, more insight and grow new audiences.
As part of the Screening Days South East, Film Hub South East will present its Forum on the afternoon of 27 November.
At it, FHSE members (and potential members) will have an opportunity to learn about current Hub projects and opportunities, be introduced to the Hub’s research projects on film exhibition in the region and contribute to the development of the Hub’s plans for 2014/15.

Terms and conditions
Screening Days South East is an industry event which is open to people working or volunteering in an organisation whose primary purpose is the exhibition of films to the public. As all of the films that are being shown at the event are pre-release titles there is a press embargo on the event, which includes social networking sites and film forums.

Screening Days South East will be held at the Duke’s at Komedia which is on Gardner Street in the heart of North Laine, Brighton.
It is a 10 minute walk from Brighton station, and 5 minutes from most local bus routes on North Street.

Practical Info
Registration
Registration will be held from 8:30am each morning at Duke’s at Komedia. You will not need a ticket but will be issued with a badge for the day(s) you are attending. This will be your entry pass into all of the screenings.
The registration area will be staffed by the ICO from 8:30am – 1:00pm each day of the event.
Luggage
There will be an area for the delegates to leave their luggage.
Please note luggage will be left at the owner’s risk.
Refreshments
Tea and coffee will be provided at registration, and lunch will be available to purchase from the Komedia cafe/bar. Delegates who pre-order lunch at the cafe/bar during registration will receive a 30% discount.
Drinks reception
There will be a drinks reception from 5pm on Thursday evening in the University of Brighton building for delegates to meet and network with fellow exhibitors.
Festival screenings
Delegates will be able to attend CINECITY festival screenings from 6pm on both Thursday 27 & Friday 28 November. Tickets for the festival screenings will be free for delegates but on a first come first served basis and are subject to availability. Tickets can be booked during registration and will be available to collect from the Komedia box office. If tickets aren’t collected before the screenings, they may be reallocated so please ensure you collect them in good time.
