Come to ICO National Screening Days, the industry screenings event for people who work or volunteer in independent cinemas, mixed arts venues, film festivals and film societies!
Choose from a programme of preview films, showing back-to-back over three days at QUAD, Derby on Sat 1, Sun 2 and Mon 3 November. Screenings start between 9am-10am each morning and finish between 5pm-6pm each evening.
The film programme showcases key upcoming art-house and independent titles, scheduled for theatrical release between November 2014 – March 2015.

As ICO Screening Days is an industry event for people working or volunteering in the film exhibition sector, your booking request will be sent to the ICO for approval. Once your request has been approved you will be sent a confirmation email, and if applicable a link to pay for your pass(es) through the WorldPay secure banking site.
A full refund is available for cancellations up to Friday 24 October 2014.
Discounts
Full-time students receive a 50% discount on passes.
Organisations bringing five delegates receive a sixth pass free (to the same value of the most purchased pass).
There are 20 funded places at ICO Screening Days for BFI Neighbourhood Cinemas to attend free of charge. The passes are for community cinemas or film societies that have a profile on the BFI Neighbourhood Cinema website. Passes will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and are limited to one per organisation. You will need your BFINC number to book this pass, which is on the top right hand side of your profile page on http://neighbourhoodcinema.org.uk. Pre-order lunch option
A buffet lunch is available to pre-order when purchasing your pass for the event; this will be served in the delegate area. The buffet is £7.00 and will consist of: sandwiches, soup, nachos and dips, classic salads and a drink. If you prefer, you can purchase lunch from the QUAD Café bar on the day, but please bear in mind this is a public space and is often busy during lunchtime.

Derby is a compact city and QUAD is situated in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter on the Market Place that is easy walking distance from the main shopping areas, hotels, restaurants, bars and other amenities.
By Car
Exit M1 at J25, take the A52 towards Derby and follow signs to the City Centre / Cathedral Quarter.
The Assembly Rooms car park is the nearest, Chapel Street car park or Parksafe on Bold Lane are both a short walk away. You can view a leaflet with a map and more details about parking in Derby from the Derby City Council website.
By Train
Derby is a famous rail centre with 31 fast daily services to London St Pancras, a journey that takes less than two hours. Direct rail services connect Derby with Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Dundee, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield, Southampton, Plymouth and many other destinations.
Derby Train Station is just over one mile away from QUAD, so it is a quick taxi journey or a 15-minute walk.
Walking from the train station
Come out of the train station (direction city centre), turn right out of the station doors and head towards the Waterfall Pub diagonally opposite. Cross over the road at the pedestrian crossing and walk to the right hand side of the Waterfall Pub, the station car park is running parallel on the opposite side of the road (Railway Terrace).
Follow this road passing the railway cottages on your left and further along, the Brunswick Inn pub. At the traffic lights keep to the left and walk along the long straight Siddals Road, follow this all the way, passing a small park to your right and then car showrooms to your left. Continue past the pay and display car park at the end of the road until you reach the set of traffic lights opposite the Westfield Shopping Centre. Cross the road and head to your right under the multi-storey car park spanning the road (The Cock Pitt). Follow the road (Morledge) past the Eagle Centre Market on your left. Continue until you reach a roundabout, crossing over a zebra crossing to your left. With the Market Hall to your left and taxi rank to your right walk down Tenant Street towards the Market Place, you can see the back of QUAD to your right. Turn right as you enter the Market Place, the front doors are further ahead, opposite the Tourist Information Office.
By Air
East Midlands Airport is approximately 20 minutes drive from QUAD and Birmingham International Airport is about a 45 minute drive.
By Bus
Derby is served by Trent Barton www.trentbarton.co.uk and Arriva buses www.arrivabus.co.uk. Derby’s new bus station is only a short walk away.

Practical Info
Registration
Registration will be held from 8.30am each morning. You will not need a ticket but will be issued with a badge for the day(s) you are attending. This will be your entry pass into all of the screenings.
The registration area will be staffed by the ICO throughout the event and staff will be on hand to offer advice on a range of topics including programming, distribution, audience development and much more.
Films will start between 9:00 – 10:00am and will finish between 5:00 – 6:00pm.
Luggage
There will be an area where delegates can leave their coats and luggage. Please note this is left at the owner’s risk.
Delegate area
Throughout the event the cinema foyer (level 2) will be a dedicated area for ICO Screening Days delegates. BFI FAN, Cinema for All and Filmbank will have exhibition stands in this area, and you will also be able to purchase refreshments from the Orchid Bar (level 2).
Screenings
Screenings will be held in Cinema 1, Cinema 2 and The Box (level 2).
Refreshments
Free tea and coffee will be available during registration (8.30 – 9.30am) from the QUAD Café bar (ground floor).
