EIFF is seeking to fill numerous positions for the 2020 edition of the festival. Inaugurated in 1947, the same year as the Edinburgh International Festival, Edinburgh International Film Festival is the world’s longest continually-running film festival.

Positions include:

Guest Services Coordinator
Working with the Guest Services Manager, the Guest Services Coordinators are responsible for managing and delivering accommodation, travel and associated logistical arrangements for filmmaker, industry and press guests from all over the world, efficiently and within budget. (3 posts)

Dates: 30 March – 10 July (1 position)
6 April – 3 July (2 positions)

Hospitality Coordinator
The Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for arranging a wide range of receptions, parties and dinners across the Festival, ensuring that all EIFF filmmaker, industry and press guests are able to make the most of their time in Edinburgh. This involves dealing with internal and external stakeholders, including venues, sponsors, suppliers and key industry contacts, to arrange and coordinate these events, negotiating hospitality requirements and organising dinners, parties and drinks receptions, together with sightseeing activities around the Edinburgh area, as well as managing guest lists and invitations/RSVPs.

Dates: 3 June to 29 June 2020

Industry Coordinator
This position will support the Industry team in pulling together the industry-only programme of events, arranging travel and accommodation for guests and participants, liaising with Industry venues and other festival departments. This role requires experience of events and working with external partners; fantastic organisational, administrative, communication skills and attention to detail; and someone who works well in a small team supporting a line manager. An enthusiasm for filmmaking and an understanding of the film industry infrastructure will also be very helpful.

Industry Venue Manager
This position will be the lead Industry Centre point of contact for all EIFF and Traverse staff in relation to the various functions taking place including space management, upkeep, equipment, health and safety. This role works closely with the Head of Industry & Talent Development to coordinate daily networking and social events at the Industry Centre. In addition they will support the Industry Events team as required at other venues.

Print Traffic Coordinator

Your role would be to support the Print Traffic Manager in ensuring that the screening materials for all films in the Festival programme reach Edinburgh in good time for their screenings, move to and from all venues as required, and then move onward to their next destination in a timely manner.

Print Traffic Manager
The Print Traffic Manager is a key role that contributes to the success of all EIFF screenings. It is the Print Traffic Manager’s responsibility to lead a small team of people (Print Traffic team) in ensuring that the screening materials for all films in the Festival programme reach Edinburgh in good time for their screenings, move to and from all venues as required, and then move onward to their next destination in a timely manner. The Print Traffic team is a team sitting within the Programme Planning team.

Digital Content Coordinator
The Digital Content Coordinator creates stories and feature articles as well as sourcing the latest news, views and reviews, to support the Marketing Department’s objectives.

  • Candidates must have previous experience in digital content creation, copywriting, editing and interviewing and a good eye for spotting opportunities for content as and when it happens.
  • This role requires a proactive (as well as reactive) film fan with a dynamic character keen to engage and develop new audiences for EIFF.
  • A strong understanding of film and our social landscapes is a must.

Display Coordinator
As part of the Display Team, the Display Coordinator supports the Senior Display Coordinator to ensure promotional material for the films in the EIFF programme and sponsors, are displayed around EIFF venues to support EIFF marketing activity. The Display Coordinator also supports other EIFF departments in the transport of Festival material in around the multiple venues as and when necessary.

A positive, responsive, can-do individual is needed to be part of this dynamic team. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are required in this role. A clean driving licence is essential and candidates must usually be over 25 years for insurance purposes.
