Cinema for All is seeking a part-time Technical Assistant.

Role responsibilities

This is a cross-services role with responsibility for Cinema For All’s equipment, bookable kits across the country, the equipment hire service, as well as operational and admin duties relating to key services such as bookings, membership. The role brings technological knowledge and support to our members, covering both traditional and new technologies. The role is line managed by the Head of Finance and Operations (HFO) and supervised by Operations and Marketing Officer (OMO).

Person specifications
  • Experience with setting up AV/IT for screenings including setting up projector, speakers, laptop and screen.
  • Experience trouble shooting AV/IT set ups.
  • Administration skills (including Microsoft Office skills).
  • Positive, friendly and professional attitude with good communication skills.
  • Good self‐organisation and time‐management skills.
  • Experience in customer service/ dealing with enquiries.
  • An awareness of film societies and community cinemas.
  • Some experience leading training.
  • An understanding of how film distribution and exhibition work.
  • An awareness of and an enthusiasm for film and film exhibition.
  • Experience of booking and screening films
