The British Film Institute is looking for a Screenings & Events Coordinator for the Future Film Festival. 

The successful candidate will work with the Senior Production Manager on the planning, coordination and logistical delivery of all digital events along with digital and in-venue screenings for the BFI Future Film Festival.

Role responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the operational and technical aspects of the festival’s digital events and screenings 
  • Oversee the collection of all film files and assets for the in-person and digital screenings of the Future Film Festival programme 
  • Coordinate and liaise with guest speakers and hosts of digital events and deliver live online events via digital platforms (Instagram Live, Zoom and YouTube) on the day, including introducing events. 
  • Prepare copy and source images for all digital event communications including for the BFI website and Film Academy social media channels.
  • Ensure all communications are scheduled and happen in a timely fashion, liaising with Press, Marketing, and Digital Marketing Teams at the BFI. 
Person specifications:
  • Demonstrable experience in an event coordinating role in a film festival or related field. 
  • Experience of working on screenings and events in a festival or events environment with knowledge and understanding of key technical requirements around film screenings and digital events. 
  • Proficiency in using Zoom Webinars, Instagram Live and YouTube to host live­ online events with large audience numbers. 
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours. Ability to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends, during the run-up to and during the Festival
