Press Assistant

The BFI is looking for a Press Assistant who will be providing support in the delivery of the multi-tiered publicity campaign for the world-class BFI London Film Festival, providing effective day-to-day administrative PR and LFF press office support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Compile regular media coverage on the festival, circulating the coverage to the Festivals team, BFI Press team and wider BFI stakeholder teams on a daily basis
- Researching press contacts, updating press lists and highlighting new key press to the team
- Support the team where necessary in LFF PR activities, event and projects to include administrative tasks, venue and set up support, information and details to media and delegates, circulating invitations to press launches and screenings and managing RSVPs as well as support with the media line of red carpets
- Be an ambassador for the BFI and maintain a professional approach at all times.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrable work experience gained within a PR setting either in a paid or voluntary capacity
- Ability to build effective relationships with key contacts across BFI and stakeholder organisations, and to communicate effectively and tactfully with stakeholders at all levels
- The aptitude to carry out all activities supporting and championing our culture drivers
- Ability to work unsociable hours during the run up to and during the Festival
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet deadlines
