Since its inception in 1968, Queen’s Film Theatre (QFT) has occupied a unique place in the cultural and entertainment life of Northern Ireland. This uniqueness comes from QFT’s special atmosphere, its screenings of carefully curated new and classic films, its loyal members and audiences and from the many people who have worked front of house and behind the scenes. Today QFT is a vibrant and modern cinema that welcomes 100,000 people through its door every year.
This temporary post is available for 39 weeks. Reporting to the Head of QFT, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of an efficient, effective customer led service in the QFT. They will help to deliver customer focused targets aimed at maximising income and minimising expenditure whilst delivering exceptional customer service standards, ensuring these are in line with key University, funder and stakeholder objectives.
The successful candidate will have a degree, HND or NVQ level 4 qualification. Applicants without the relevant qualification but demonstrate broad relevant experience will also be considered.
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience to include:
- Experience of operational management in a cinema/cultural environment.
- Experience of supervisory or line management of staff in a cinema/cultural environment, including the recruitment, training and motivation of a range of staff.
- Experience of leading a team who have delivered exceptional customer service.
