Job description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Online Filmmaking Talks Host to join our team. As the Online Filmmaking Talks Host, you will play a vital role in curating, presenting, and hosting engaging and informative online talks and discussions related to the art and craft of filmmaking. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for filmmaking, a background in hosting online classes or webinars, and the ability to connect with our audience on various filmmaking topics.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise, and host online filmmaking talks, webinars, and discussions.
• Collaborate with our content team to develop compelling topics and content for each session.
• Engage with our global audience, creating an interactive and inclusive environment.
• Ensure the smooth technical operation of online talks, including managing software and equipment.
• Moderate Q&A sessions and facilitate discussions among participants.
• Promote upcoming events and encourage audience participation.
• Gather feedback from attendees to continually improve the quality of our talks.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hosting online classes, webinars, or similar events.
• Strong knowledge and passion for filmmaking, including both technical and creative aspects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage and connect with a diverse global audience.
• Proficiency in using online communication and webinar platforms.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Creative and adaptable, with the ability to think on your feet.
• A commitment to providing valuable educational experiences to our audience.

Additional information

• This is a remote, freelance position.
• The schedule for online filmmaking talks may vary, including evenings, to accommodate our global audience.
• Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the number of talks hosted.
