Salary: £26,353
Film Hub Wales is seeking a Member Marketing Officer to support the Hub and its members in developing audiences for British independent and world cinema across Wales through marketing and outreach activities.
This includes a specific ‘spotlight’ project in North Wales and brand-to-brand marketing of opportunities to the Hub membership.
Role details
- Full-time
- Fixed-term contract from April 2025 to March 2026, with potential to extend, subject to confirmation of annual funding.
- Hybrid working with one/two office days per week at Chapter, Cardiff and/or off-site meetings
- Some weekend and evening work may be required

Role responsibilities
- Promote the Hub’s day-to-day (B to B) operations, including funding calls, training opportunities and wider activities,
- Support Hub members with outreach ideas, to promote their film screenings, including more intensive support for a ‘spotlight’ project in North Wales,
- Engagement with members at Hub events and venue visits, building partnerships and learning about film exhibition / audiences in Wales,
- Monitor Hub member activities and update internal planning documents,
- Copywrite for online and/or press,
- Update the FHW website, adding content such as new film pages,
- Create digital assets such as newsletters, social media assets and infographics,
- Photo/video editing,
- Manage FHW and Made in Wales social media (Facebook, X, TikTok, Instagram and Vimeo),
- Liaise with the marketing team at Chapter to support information sharing.
Person specifications
Essential
- Qualifications relevant to marketing and/or outreach, or equivalent work experience, preferably in a film exhibition/arts environment,
- Experience working in marketing and/or outreach, preferably in a film exhibition environment/arts environment,
- Project administration experience,
- Experience updating web platforms such as WordPress,
- Experience creating graphics for use online,
- Able to manage social media platforms,
- Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word,
- Ability to write copy for press and online,
- A clear and confident communicator, able to build partnerships,
- A creative thinker,
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently, remaining calm under pressure,
- Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise, meet objectives and work to deadlines,
- Motivated, flexible and adaptable.
Desirable
- An understanding of the barriers faced by minoritised communities,
- Experience engaging with press and media,
- A good knowledge of British independent and international film,
- Experience working on a project of a similar scale with multiple partners and regions,
- Video editing and/or photography skills,
- Welsh communicator.
