EIFF is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support their marketing and audience development campaign, developing, delivering and analysing creative marketing initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and delivering effective marketing and communications activity across the Festival, raising the profile of EIFF and its programme and driving ticket sales and audience engagement. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this role will support the conception, planning and delivery of all marketing activities for EIFF 2025.
The Marketing Coordinator sits within the Marketing team, including Marketing Coordinator, Publications Editor, Designer, Digital Campaigns Coordinator, Ticketing Coordinator, Display Coordinator, Picture Editor and Video/Photography team.

Role responsibilities
- Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns to promote the Festival in the lead up to and during the event in August;
- As directed by the Marketing Manager, create compelling content including posts, articles and multimedia assets to showcase Festival highlights and attract attendees;
- Create, commission and manage the online content for EIFF digital channels, including the core website and social media channels;
- As directed by the Marketing Manager, work across a matrix of communication channels and approaches, including digital communications, print production and management, advertising, direct mail, distribution, sales, promotion and eCRM;
- Ensure that tone, visual style and messaging are consistent throughout the Festival’s marketing channels;
- Assist with live coverage of the Festival through social media stories;
- Undertake dedicated and targeted marketing tactics to reach specific audiences;
- Deliver copywriting requirements through newsletters, email campaigns, brochures and other communication channels;
- Liaise with sponsors, media partners and vendors to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives and activations, as required;
- Liaise with EIFF’s Press team over comms and maximisation of PR opportunities;
- Liaise with EIFF Programme Planning team and the Festival’s planning platform (Filmchief) to ensure all publications information is collected, managed and exported/imported to website/POS systems as required;
- Liaise with the Publications Editor to create Festival brochures;
- Liaise with EIFF’s Box Office partner/provider to ensure smooth customer experience of POS/ticketing/press and industry accreditation;
- Liaise with the Display Coordinator over venue dressing planning and deliver;

Person specifications
Essential:
- Experience of working within the marketing department of an arts/culture-related company in a busy office environment
- Experience of designing, implementing and monitoring integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience in the design and delivery of digital campaigns, including content, email and social
- Understanding of SEO practices and optimisation tactics
- Experience of Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Hootsuite and WordPress
- Ability to coordinate the planning, production and analytics of all email communications to customers via Mailchimp or similar platform
- Experience of creating content for various channels including web and email
- Negotiating with external suppliers e.g. venues, printers and agencies
- Working with internal and external stakeholders
- Successfully working to deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and experience of working with databases and content management systems
- Excellent administration and organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Copywriting experience
- Team working and ability to motivate others
- Excellent written and spoken English, including proofreading skills

Desirable:
- Knowledge of the wider arts sector/communications/PR
