The BFI’s Festival team is looking for a Filmmaker Services Co-Manager, on a contract basis from 2 July through to 2 November 2018, to work alongside the Programme and Filmmaker Services Manager to lead busy Programme & Filmmaker Services and Hospitality teams, delivering a world class filmmaker experience at the 62nd BFI London Film Festival, to be held between 10 – 21 October 2018.

The post will work closely with the BFI LFF Artistic Director and alongside the Programme and Filmmaker Services Manager to plan and lead the team to deliver communications and services for filmmaker guests, from invitations and travel to accompanying filmmakers to Q&As and ensuring warm and welcoming filmmaker hospitality during their stay.

You will lead the team in raising investment from cultural partners to contribute to the overall Visiting Filmmakers Budget, which you will manage.

The post holder will also work with the Artistic Director and Programmers in maintaining excellent relationships with high-level external stakeholders, especially sales agents and distributors, to encourage co-investment in filmmaker travel while ensuring their experience of the Festival is highly positive and supports their business and cultural aspirations.

The successful candidate will have worked in Film Festival environments or related fields for at least five years, and will have experience of guest services and delivering complex objectives within given time and budgetary requirements.Demonstrable organisational and negotiation skills are a must, as is the ability to work under pressure, for long hours in key delivery periods. The post holder will also have excellent people management skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of individuals,including internal as well as external colleagues and partners.
