Head of Screen Commission

Salary: £41,934 - £52,230 per annum

Screen Scotland is seeking to appoint a new Head of Screen Commission.

Screen Scotland is the national screen body driving the development of all aspects of Scotland’s film and TV industries, through funding and strategic support. Screen Scotland is part of Creative Scotland and delivers these services and support with backing from The Scottish Government and The National Lottery.

The Head of Screen Commission will work with the Director and Executive Director of Screen to develop and manage Screen Scotland’s strategy for inward investment of film and television production to Scotland by providing practical advice, guidance, and support to film, television, advertising and other companies considering Scotland as a shooting location. The Head of Screen Commission leads on the promotion of Scotland as a filming location at international markets and festivals, raising awareness of Scotland’s built and natural environment, talent, crew, infrastructure, and facilities.

As part of Screen Scotland’s senior team, the Head of Screen Commission will work with the other Screen Scotland “Heads” to provide strategic leadership for Screen Scotland in support of Screen Scotland’s Business Plan and Creative Scotland’s 10-year plan, Unlocking Potential, Embracing Ambition.

This will be achieved through strong and positive relationships across the film and television sectors, the application of up-to-date specialist knowledge and expertise in Scotland, its built and natural environment, talent, crew, infrastructure, and facilities, as well as the film and television sectors across the UK and internationally.

• Salary: £41,934 – £52,230 (Grade D) plus pension and benefits
• Permanent, full-time role (36 hours per week)
• Location: Further opportunities to discuss working arrangements, for example hybrid working/location, will be offered. Must be a commutable distance to a Creative Scotland office, in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
