Head of Film Academy Programme (Maternity Cover)

The BFI is seeking a Head of Film Academy Programme to lead their Film Academy Programmes on a fixed term maternity cover basis.
The Film Academy aims to secure progression routes for those seeking film related skills and grow the pipeline of a diverse and inclusive workforce for the screen industry, including film, TV, animation and gaming.
The Head of Film Academy Programme plays an important role in devising the strategic direction of all BFI UK wide Film Academy programmes to ensure continual development and innovation within both our core and supplementary programme, including emerging international and commercial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- To implement and secure progression routes for those seeking film related skills through leading and managing BFI UK Lottery and other external investment in relevant programmes.
- Growing the pipeline of a diverse and inclusive workforce for the industry, through internally devised and externally supported programmes and schedules.
- Strengthening the relationships between education and industry and utilising the reach and scale of BFI funding and Creative sector partners.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Evidence of supporting young people to make career decisions.
- Experience of working with and sound understanding of National Lottery or other similar funding processes and procedures.
- Successful track-record in planning, budget (in excess of £1 million) and project management.
- Ability to successfully initiate, develop and maintain partnerships, collegiate relationships and stakeholder engagement.
- A persuasive communicator with an ability to write and present clearly and effectively with people at all levels.
