REEL Cinemas is looking for a dynamic, ideas-driven Food and Beverage Operations Manager.

REEL Cinemas is looking for a dynamic, ideas-driven food and beverage operations manager, reporting directly to Group Head of Operations, with at least five years’ management experience of working in fast-paced, high volume food and beverage outlets, with a proven track record of success, and strong people management skills. Based in the Birmingham area, the F&B Operations manager will be responsible and accountable for all REEL Cinemas food and beverage curation and merchandising and area manager for REEL’s seven southernmost sites.

REEL Cinemas is a committed cinema circuit embedded in the local community with accessible pricing and no compromise on the quality of projection, sound or auditoria comfort. A family-run business whose local community is at the heart of the REEL philosophy, the circuit slashed their ticket prices on re-opening in May 2021 in order to encourage their audiences back in safety, without compromising their offer, to great success. With an existing 15 sites and more in development, REEL Cinemas are looking to develop their F&B offer at a group and local level to bring consistency, excellent guest experiences and value for money to the fore.

The F&B Operations Manager will report directly to the Group Head of Operations for the first 12 months, focusing specifically on F&B at the group level, ensuring operational efficiency and optimising profits. The successful applicant will work alongside the Operations Manager and will be responsible for REEL’s 7 southern sites: Widnes, Chippenham, Port Talbot, Fareham and Borehamwood, Ilkeston, Bridgnorth, and 2022’s new opening in Farnham.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing service standards to ensure exceptional guest experiences across the REEL estate
  • Merchandising and display curation to drive sales and customer satisfaction
  • Menu curation – group and local level
  • Stock management and procurement and delivering to aggressive targets
  • Dynamic team leader working closely with stakeholders, suppliers and venue management teams
  • Event management and curation
  • Ensuring compliance and execution of Food Safety, Health & Safety and licensing laws and regulations
