Dublin International Film Festival is seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Manager to join their team and contribute to the continued success of the festival.

Position Summary
As the Marketing Manager at Dublin International Film Festival, you will play a pivotal role in promoting and enhancing the festival’s brand and reputation. You will be responsible for implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and attendance at the annual event. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the heart of the Irish film industry and contribute to the growth and success of a world-class film festival.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Commercial and Marketing to develop and implement powerful communications strategies that connect and resonate with new and existing audiences.
- Execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote the international festival and its world-class programme, including innovative digital and social media promotion, print, and PR.
- Deliver bespoke campaigns for key festival events including the Festival Awards, the 2024 launch, and any partners and sponsors events.
- Manage and enhance the festival’s online presence, ensuring a positive user experience across the website and social media channels.
- Collaborate with the wider team to create compelling marketing materials and assets that support the delivery of agreed marketing outcomes and objectives.
- Oversee the delivery of the Festival brochure, including design, print and distribution.
- Manage the production and distribution of targeted promotional materials, such as emails, posters, flyers, and digital assets.
- In collaboration with the Festival publicist, build and maintain relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry partners to secure coverage and endorsements.
- Work with the Box Office Manager to ensure that the Box Office personnel are fully trained in marketing strategy, and agreed conversion tactics, and communications objectives.
- Analyse marketing campaign performance and audience feedback to continually improve strategies.
- Respond to data, trends, and implement agreed promotions, offers and targeted communications throughout the festival.
- Nurture relationships with core supporters such as filmmakers, Season Ticket Holders, Volunteers, Hosts and other Festival Friends.
- Robust budget management to ensure efficient allocation of resources and a strong ROI.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in marketing and branding, preferably in the entertainment or cultural sector.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing roles with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Previous experience in managing marketing teams and budgets.
- A portfolio of successful marketing campaigns or projects that demonstrate creativity and results.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, and social media advertising.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Microsoft 365 Outlook, Teams and Zoom, Project Management software.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools, such as Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, and email marketing platforms.
- Experience with audience segmentation, targeting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional copywriting and content creation skills for various marketing channels.
- A team player with strong collaborative skills, a positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, common sense and flexibility.
- Ability to respond flexibly and in a timely manner to the particular demands of working in a festival context.
