The University of St Andrews is looking for a Curator of the St Andrews Film Festival.
This new three-day annual festival will develop the importance of Scotland as a place for making film and enhance that capacity in Scotland by developing skills, industry connections at a high level, and provoking ideas about screen cultures that resonate locally and in Scotland. The inaugural festival will be in April 2022.
The Curator will be a highly experienced, skilled and motivated professional, with excellent connections in the film and screen culture industries in order to develop, refine and implement the University’s vision for the growth of the St Andrews Film Festival and help secure funding to make it a reality.
Based at the Byre Theatre and reporting to the Joint Directors of The Byre, Kally Lloyd-Jones and Jessica Richards, and the St Andrews Film Festival Steering Committee, and working in close collaboration with colleagues in Film Studies, the University’s Development Office and other groups across the University.
