About the role
The Communications Producer is a key member of our year-round team, supporting festival communications across all channels, online and in print, for the festival and DocFest’s charitable activities. Acting as a brand guardian for the festival, the role ensures our messaging is clear, consistent and accessible, and works collegially with programme and community teams to maximise our engagement and outreach to all festival audiences.
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. During the festival longer hours are to be expected and time off in lieu will be given in retrospect.

Requirements
- 3 years relevant experience in a communications role (E)
- Demonstrated commitment to Inclusion and Equity (E)
- Proficiency with graphic design packages such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects, or similar video editing tools (E)
- Proficient copywriter with excellent English language and grammar (E)
- Multitasker able to prioritise and implement systems in a busy environment (E)
- Social media management experience and familiarity with scheduling and analytics platforms (E)
- Enthusiasm for and experience working in arts, culture and audience development (E)
- Written and in person presentation skills (D)
- Interest in Film, in particular documentary (D)
