Cinema Projectionist (Freelance)

Salary: £15 per hour

The Junction Theatre and Cinema in Goole is seeking a new Cinema Projectionist (Freelance).

Freelance Cinema Projectionists play a vital part in the delivery of  independent picture house The Junction in Goole.

About the role

Cinema Projectionists are responsible for running high quality screenings for The Junction’s audiences, involving:

• Ingesting film assets from distributors
• Checking playback and satellite feeds where needed
• Ensuring subtitled and relaxed screenings fulfil audience expectations
• Setting up and operating the theatre, sound and projection equipment during screenings.

You will work alongside the Front of House/Duty Manager on shift to deal with any matters arising during the course of the screening.

The post-holder will be expected to have:

• Competent IT and technical skills, as they will be key users of the Cinema Projection, audio-visual, theatre and sound equipment
• Excellent attention to detail, both when checking written information and maintaining high presentational standards
• Knowledge of current and future cinema releases and trends.
