Bradford’s National Science and Media Museum is looking for a Cinema Marketing Officer to lead on the marketing of our in-house Cinema operations on a full-time basis for an 18-month contract.

Bradford’s National Science and Media Museum, part of the Science Museum Group (SMG), houses Pictureville, a 3-screen cinema operation which includes Europe’s first IMAX. Our Pictureville cinema (300 seats) and Cubby Broccoli cinema (100 seats) screen the best of independent cinema with selected mainstream titles and a Screen Arts programme. Our IMAX (218 seats) screens the best feature titles available in IMAX format and a regular programme of shorter educational IMAX films for families and pre-booked groups.
To ensure our Cinema operations are marketed effectively and reach new audiences, we are now looking for a Cinema Marketing Officer to lead on the marketing of our in-house Cinema operations on a full-time basis for an 18-month contract.
About the role
In this role, you’ll make a significant contribution to the commercial success of the cinema operation by planning campaigns to promote the Museum’s cinema programme as well as providing and responding to sales analysis. You’ll design email communications, social media and digital marketing campaigns for the cinema business, implementing strategies which make the best use of our CRM system. You’ll also help grow our loyal and important cinema membership base, and develop relationships with community groups who use our cinemas as well as distributors.
Joining us, you will have relevant experience in a marketing role, with experience delivering fully integrated marketing campaigns. You’ll be a strong communicator with the ability to write effective, interesting and persuasive copy. You’ll be comfortable working with colleagues and stakeholders across all levels and will have a positive and solutions-focussed approach. This is a busy role, and as such, you will need excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
