The BFI are seeking a Guest Coordinator (Transport) who will work within the wider Guest Team to deliver a first-class ground guest service during BFI Flare.

Fixed Term Contract: 06 March – 07 April 2023

We are seeking a Guest Coordinator (Transport) who will work within the wider Guest Team to deliver a first-class ground guest service for Festival guests focusing on ground transportation for Festival Filmmakers, staff and Festival deliveries during BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival (15 – 26 March 2023).

BFI Flare is our long-running LGBTQIA+ festival, with a growing audience in London and on BFI Player, and one of the most inclusive film events of the BFI’s annual calendar.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To work closely with Guest Services and Partnerships Manager Programme and delivering an excellent festival experience to all attending filmmakers. Supporting the wider guest team on filmmaker relations at screenings and events.
  • Day-to-day responsibility for assigned areas of the Festival’s Guest Transport service and create and update festival spreadsheets and databases in an accurate, consistent and comprehensive manner.
  • To welcome filmmaker guests during the festival and facilitate intros and Q&As at venues as required.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Demonstrable and significant previous administrative experience gained within a cultural organisation in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrable skill/experience in information and data management.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key contacts across BFI and stakeholder organisations, and to communicate effectively and tactfully with stakeholders at all levels.
