John Muir and his Jack Russell terrier attempt the first ever unsupported trip across Australia, Muir’s native land. Travelling through deserts, storms, dingo attacks and depression, the 128-day crossing is seen through the eyes and experiences of the eccentric Muir, who overcomes the many obstacles through a series of aborigine survival techniques, coping without technology or supply stops.
Having already tasted success at festivals, this well crafted, handsomely polished project is enhanced by the work of director Ian Darling, providing voiceover interviews and gorgeous long-distance zoom shots.
