Winner of the ‘Teddy Bear’ prize for the Best Gay Film at the 2005 Berlin Film Festival, Un Año Sin Amor is an ‘uncompromising, densely textured portrayal of one man dealing with loneliness and AIDS’ (Berlin jury).
Pablo is a writer living with an addled aunt and seeking a way to keep illness at bay. He’s also seeking love, through adverts and visits to gay bars. Then he finds himself involved in the secretive world of Buenos Aires leather clubs and the men who frequent them – especially one in particular.
