Pre-Selectors

Native Spirit Festival is seeking those impacted by Colonisation and speakers / students of Indigenous languages (including: Welsh, Irish, Scottish, Manx) to become pre-selectors for this year’s festival.

Native Spirit Festival are particularly interested in hearing from those who are likely to relate to the revitalisation of languages impacted by the Empire and discussed in many films.

Pre-selectors will watch and rate private screeners by First Nations filmmakers (mostly Shorts) via the FilmFreeway platform: specifically, leave a star rating, write comment, and click on recommendation to: screen, maybe, or not.

You will be listed as pre-selector on our FilmFreeway page, offered a pass to any ticketed events or online festival. Options to join our festival team.

The festival is a project of Native Spirit Foundation, founded in 2005 by a Mapuche activist filmmaker and leader, with one objective being to create video, radio and television “for the other culture to know us without losing our identities.”
