elevenfiftyfive is recruiting a Fundraising Consultant for Escapes, a nationwide free screening programme supported by BFI and National Lottery.
About the role
We are looking for an individual with a love for cinema who has experience in securing funding for audience development projects within the arts.
The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the funding landscape, existing relationships within this field, and a track record of applying for and receiving funding from large Trusts and Foundations.
The initial role is for 1 to 2 days of consultancy to review the project and advise whether applying for funding would be viable. Once this task is complete, if the recommendation is that Escapes would qualify for funding, there would be a further fee for working on funding proposals.
Term: To begin as soon as possible for 1 – 2 days of initial consultancy.
Fee: £200 – £350 per day depending on experience (total fee £400 – £700). If extended, total project fee to be agreed.
About Escapes
Free cinema for everyone.
Supported by BFI and National Lottery, Escapes is a project designed to grow new cinema audiences in the UK.
10 times a year, everyone in the UK will be able to attend FREE screenings at cinemas across the UK.
The project launches at the start of 2024 and runs until March 2026.
Bold, friendly, fun branding, marketing and partnerships on a mass scale, will tap directly into the universal appeal of escapism.
This project, which is unique in scale and ambition, aims to achieve 1 million ticket redemptions across the project period and drive nationwide conversation.
The intention of the project is to retain and grow a vibrant UK culture for cinema. Only 50% of the intended audience will have an existing engagement with non-multiplex cinemas + non-mainstream content.
The project is seeking to be as representative of the population as possible with its audience, working to clear targets.
