The BFI is seeking a Philanthropy Manager (International Giving)
The BFI is seeking a Philanthropy Manager (International Giving) to join the Philanthropy team within its Fundraising and Enterprise department, which is responsible for raising charitable income from a number of sources, predominantly through business partnerships, trusts and foundations, public sector, events, enterprise and individuals.
The BFI’s Philanthropy team is a team of seven, responsible for all sources of individual giving, including major donors, giving schemes (notably the BFI Film Forever Club and Patrons), legacies, campaigns and appeals, audience giving and special projects, from donors in the UK and the US.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborating with senior philanthropy colleagues to deliver the BFI’s international fundraising strategy, with first focus on the US and the 501(c)(3) and Friends of the BFI
- Project managing delivery of fundraising activity and campaigns focused on international audiences
- Working with the Head of Philanthropy, translating and deliver stewardship structures for US donors
- Collaborating with the Head of F&E Events to design and deliver year-round events and engagement experiences for the recruitment and stewardship of international donors
- Line managing the Philanthropy Coordinator (International Giving).
The BFI seeks candidates with
- Significant fundraising experience
- Knowledge of the comprehensive processes required to deliver a fundraising strategy, including budget and target management and reporting
- A comprehensive understanding of data protection laws and regulation
- Exceptional organisational skills, efficient in prioritising, hitting deadlines and balancing multiple requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and written and oral communication skills, including strong presentation, project management and negotiation skills.

This role is a fixed term contract for two years, with the possibility of extension.
