Marketing Assistant - NT Live

The National Theatre are looking for a Marketing Assistant to work in the NT Live department.
This is for a fixed 12 month contract.
National Theatre Live launched in June 2009, broadcasting the National’s productions to cinemas around the world. Seen by over 11 million people, NT Live is produced and managed by the Digital Media Department, including distribution to venues across the UK and more than 65 countries internationally.
In September 2019, the National launched the National Theatre Collection, an educational streaming service that allows access to select NT Live and NT Archive recordings to educational institutions. The service is available globally and is free at the point of access to all UK State Schools with over 67% of State Secondaries signed up to the service.
The Marketing Assistant role will assist with the creative marketing campaigns of National Theatre Live’s cinema programme, ensuring strong sales by nurturing existing customers and attracting a wide range of new audiences.
The role will be a brand champion for the National Theatre Live, liaising with media agencies, co-producing theatres, cinemas and distribution partners. The post-holder will also contribute to department-wide initiatives for audience development work, access and strategies for engaging audiences online through digital content and social media.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Some marketing campaign experience, ideally within the cultural or entertainment sectors.
- Interest in and understanding of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok), current trends, and influencers.
- Excellent computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft, (Excel and Outlook) and demonstrable ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other teams and external stakeholders.
- A positive, proactive approach to tasks as well as ability to act on own initiative
- Some copywriting skills.
- An understanding of equal opportunity and cultural diversity issues in the delivery of our services.
