The Community Ownership Fund is a £150 million fund over 4 years to support community groups across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to take ownership of assets which are at risk of being lost to the community.
In this session, David Sin, ICO’s Head of Cinemas, will talk through how this fund can support local and regional campaigns to take cinemas into community ownership. Moving step-by-step through the assessment criteria, the webinar will focus on where and how these campaigns can meet the objectives of the fund to construct a strong application.
David will be joined by John Murray, Senior Lending Manager at Charity Bank. Applicants to the Community Ownership Fund can only apply for 50% of total capital required. Charity Bank is a loans and savings bank for the social sector, lending only to impactful charities and social enterprises of which they have supported thousands across the UK. John will outline how Charity Bank can support prospective applicants to the Community Ownership Fund.
Whether you are currently involved in a campaign to save a local cinema, or interested in learning more about the first steps, this webinar will provide a solid foundation on which to move these discussions and actions forward.
