Showroom Workstation is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to inspire and lead their Technical team.
Showroom Workstation is Sheffield’s only media arts complex operating a popular independent café/bar, conference and events facility, four-screen cinema, and creative industries managed workspace.
About the role
The Technical Manager has overall responsibility for all aspects of theatrical and technical presentation at the Showroom cinema and for any events in the venue. The successful applicant will liaise closely with the senior management team and other staff to ensure that events run smoothly. The role includes delivering a wide range of film screenings (including DCP, 35 mm and other formats), conferences, festivals and one-off events such as talks and seminars. The postholder, along with the Technical Team, also provide 1st/2nd Line internal IT across the organisation as required by the IT Manager.

Contracted hours: 37 hours per week, worked over 7 days on shifts.
This will include bank holidays. Shifts usually start approximately 9 am and end after the last screening has ended (approximately 10.30 pm), although at times to support other activity and special events these times could vary.
