Sales Assistant – Native Level French Speaker

Salary: £19,000.00 per annum

Park Circus is looking to recruit a native level French speaker to join the team in the role of Sales Assistant, working across Park Circus’ French and UK operations, to be based in their Glasgow office.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of the French Office and the UK sales team in their day-to-day assignments reporting to Sales Manager and Sales Executives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming theatrical sales inquiries by email and phone from cinemas and film festivals across France and French-speaking Europe.
  • Manage sales-related administrative tasks; process client bookings by accurately entering data into the company’s rights management and booking system.
  • Support the Finance department by processing French box office returns, sending invoices and credit control.
  • Organising transport on screening materials; sending 35mm prints, DCPs and KDMs; liaising with French depots and cinemas.
  • Have a key role in handling tasks involved with the CNC (Centre National du cinema et de l’image animé – France’s national film body) including administrative tasks and nationwide school screenings.
  • MUST be a native level French speaker. Candidates out with this requirement will NOT be considered.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in both English and French by email, telephone and face-to-face.
  • Have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Show high level of attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Show an understanding of financial systems.
  • Work well on their own, under pressure and in a small team within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Have a positive attitude and be a strong communicator within the team.
  • Have an interest in cinema.
