Production Assistant

Salary: €400 per week
Dublin International Film Festival is seeking a Production Assistant to join the team.
Contract: The Production Assistant must be available to work the following schedule: 10 February 2020 – 8 March 2020. During the festival period evening and weekend work will be required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Production Manager in identifying technical requirements and sourcing equipment for screenings and events
- Draft daily call sheets, ensuring they are kept are up to date and accurate
- Liaise with suppliers regarding collection and delivery of equipment, and identifying suitable load in and load out times
- Liaise with venues to coordinate access for suppliers and stakeholders
- Managing the distribution of radios across all venues
- Assist with financial administration, raising POs and keeping track of receipts and petty cash
- Assist in venues where necessary as technical support and venue management support
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated experience working in festival or event technical production
- Demonstrated experience operating AV equipment
- Knowledge of the Irish and international film industry
- Creative problem solver who can work to their own initiative when required
- Demonstrated experience preparing schedules or call sheets
- Ability to liaise confidently and calmly with a broad range of stakeholders, including external suppliers and venues
- Previous experience working as an effective and positive part of a cohesive team
- Excellent time management
- Sharp attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and guidelines
A full clean drivers license and access to car desirable, but not essential.
