Edinburgh International Film Festival is looking for a super organised and detail oriented Programme Coordinator with a very good memory and a willingness to learn.
This is a full-time, fixed term contract position at £335 per week.
The Festival’s Programme Planning team is responsible for researching and securing films; for planning and scheduling screenings and events; and for seeing to it that all other parties have the information, instructions, materials, and additional support they need to implement all our screenings and events successfully. Programme Planning is EIFF’s central operational control unit.
Programme Coordinators ensure all Festival screenings and special events run smoothly and successfully. They handle the administration relating to the films invited to EIFF; manage and distribute the detailed schedule of screenings and live events; liaise with filmmakers, distributors, event participants, cinema and EIFF front of house staff; and production-manage live events when necessary. Working as part of a team which manages similar activities across all Filmhouse and CMI activities, the Programme Coordinators will focus primarily on planning for EIFF, but may occasionally be called on to offer support to other members of the team at times of heightened pressure.
We’re looking for an administrative type with knowledge of filmmaking and/or the film industry and /or cinema exhibition, Programme Coordinators are super organised and detail oriented with a very good memory and a willingness to learn. A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently, they can cope with pressure and deadlines in a frenetic work environment. Enjoys being part of a tight knit team, enjoys supporting a manager, and stays till the job is done.
