Bar/Cinema Front of House Staff

Salary: £9 per hour

Moving Pictures Cinema is a new independent cinema and bar opening November 2018 in Elephant & Castle in the Mercato Metropolitano. We will be screening a curated mix of new release films and retrospectives, special events including Q&A screenings, and are the venue for the Film Media Network film school. In addition to this, our bar will be open to serve drinks and snacks to the public as part of the Mercato Metropolitano.

We’re looking for talented people who have a passion for film, can provide exceptional customer experiences and who have the flexibility to work cinema hours. Positions will be part time basis and staff will be expected to work across all areas of the cinema.

Duties:

• Selling tickets and taking phone bookings
• Making popcorn and cinema snacks
• Serving drinks including making basic cocktails
• Keeping the bar service area well stocked and maintained
• Scanning tickets and ushering
• Cleaning cinemas
• Hosting special events and private bookings
• Interested and responsible staff will also be trained in the basics of digital film projection
