PR & Marketing Coordinator (Temporary)

Salary: Dependent on experience
Length of contract: 6-8 weeks. October – November 2018. Immediate start required.
Core office hours: 9am – 5.30pm. (Successful applicant must be available for some evenings and weekends particularly during the period immediately prior to and during the festival, 16-25 November 2018).
Main place of work: Nerve Centre, 7-8 Magazine Street, Derry~Londonderry, BT48 6HJ
Core responsibilities:
Coordinate all marketing and promotion for annual festival and associated activities and manage select events during the festival period. Work collaboratively with the Festival Team with some supervisor responsibilities for interns and volunteers. The role will be responsible for the effective delivery of both print and online marketing.
Key tasks:
- Manage external relationships with design agency: set schedule and deadlines for the festival delivery
- Formulate schedules of work for the planning and promotion of the festival.
- Write copy and oversee production of print materials, such as posters, leaflets and the festival programme in accordance with deadlines set.
- To organise and record distribution of marketing materials
- Arrange for design and production of all signage and advertising required for the festival.
- Manage and keep up to date festival website
- Update and maintain ticketing management database
- Manage festival social network sites and media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
- Manage and update festival listings on relevant websites and listings
- Manage images and video files for the website
- Develop, collect and manage audience and delegate surveys and feedback in line with necessary KPIs
- Manage all press enquiries
- Draft press releases
- Coordinate collection of data for evaluation
- Produce and coordinate Festival Guest Lists/Invitations/Tickets
- Produce marcomms post-festival evaluation and report for funders and festival review
The ideal candidate should have the following experience and skills:
- 2+ years of event marketing experience, ideally in the arts or festival sectors
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to meet deadlines and multi-task across a number of projects
- Can manage marketing budgets
- Can manage relationships with key stakeholders and third parties
- Website content management and managing databases of information
- Lead all design, print and print production
- Excellent digital and social media skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work well as part of a dynamic team in a fast paced environment
- Good media relation contacts
