After two years of working in distribution at Independent Film Company – helping to release titles such as the BAFTA-winning Metro Manila and Pussy Riot – A Punk Prayer – Heather went on to work at Curzon for four years, where she programmed and curated their digital venue, Curzon On Demand. Working within the Cinemas programming team, she helped to secure Day & Date releases for the circuit, as well as launching the Curzon members’ SVOD service Curzon12, and programming the Curzon area on Filmstruck UK. Wanting to move into working with cinemas more directly, Heather joined the Independent Cinema Office as a Film Programmer in March 2018, where she looks after venues such as Derby QUAD and Phoenix Leicester.
Heather McIntosh is currently on sabbatical. Please send programming enquiries to: programming@independentcinemaoffice.org.uk
