Salary: £22,214 - £24,983
You will support the Technical Manager in the running of University Arts and Culture activity in particular in the Gulbenkian technical section providing high quality technical support and maintenance for all Arts and Culture projects (including lighting, sound, stage management and film projection).
You will provide the highest level technical support to visiting company/artists and conferences from get in to get out including set construction and deconstruction, rigging and operation of lights, sound and video (including live sound as appropriate), loading/unloading. Maintaining high levels of safety and security in all activities.
The post holder will report to the Technical Manager and be part of a team of technical staff.
As Senior Technician you will:
Have relevant professional experience in a similar technical role.
Supervise staff within the technical department with the Technical Manager
Support the Technical Manager’s responsibility for safe working practices of self and others within Arts and Culture facilities
Ensure all equipment is regularly tested and in good working order.
