Salary: Circa £26,500 per annum (depending on experience)
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) is looking for a dynamic and motivated PR professional to manage our internal press office and our regular communications through earned media. The post will focus on developing engagement amongst our target audiences of: Film, Games and Television industry; career starters in these industries; educators and partners who share our charitable aims.
BAFTA is a world-leading independent arts charity that brings the very best work in film, games and television to public attention and supports the growth of creative talent in the UK and internationally. Through its Awards ceremonies and year-round programme of learning events and initiatives – which includes workshops, masterclasses, scholarships, lectures and mentoring schemes in the UK, USA and Asia – BAFTA identifies and celebrates excellence, discovers, inspires and nurtures new talent, and enables learning and creative collaboration.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage BAFTA’s internal press office, working independently to promote BAFTA activity to traditional press and key online influencers to develop audience engagement and stakeholder buy-in;
- Overseeing production of BAFTA’s own editorial content (primarily articles), using BAFTA’s network of experts in order to offer industry insights to key audiences, and syndicating/seeding these to key outlets;
- Monitor and evaluate the reach and impact of press activity.
