Located in Leicester city centre’s Cultural Quarter, Phoenix opened in 2009 and is Leicester’s centre for independent cinema, art and digital culture.
During its ambitious 2020 renovation project, Phoenix expanded from two to four cinema screens, with a new art gallery, a green roof terrace, an expanded café bar and more space for making and learning alongside the additional screens.
Phoenix’s film programme offers a mix of new releases, special events, event cinema and thematic programming. Phoenix also hosts a range of local and national film festivals.
